Well, I bounced around town this afternoon, just to stay busy. My wanderings led me to my favorite little place across the river that was started in '65 by the current owner, a deaf mute. Then I went to a market to buy treats for kids for tomorrow. By the time I departed the store, there must have been 15 kg of cookies and candy to lug across then river. Well, en route I found enough appreciative kids to put a real dent in my treat inventory. So, I dropped what was left in my room, then walked all the way back to the store for more. Lots of little kids ended up with unexpected treats.
The merchants in Vietnam have learned the power of Trip Advisor. Many places, tiny and otherwise, display Trip Advisor Excellence Award posters with 4.5-5 star ratings. It's pretty much bogus, yet humorous.
I snapped a couple photos while crossing the Perfume River on my candy/cookie run. Being alone, there are no photos of me...no big deal.
Ok, Khanh will arrive at my hotel at 0800 and then we'll be kicking things into high gear. Now it's time to take a breath & wind down for the evening.
